September has been a crazy month. I'm getting ready to move, and between packing, setting up the garage sale, and the usual grind, painting has been temporarily back-burnered.

Fear not! I do have some exciting new stuff to unveil here in the next couple of days before the studio gets packed up, and hopefully by mid-October we will be settled in and back in action!

Big Day Tomorrow!

My lovely fiance and I will be tying the knot tomorrow! We decided to take a nice road trip from Albuquerque to LA by way of Route 66, then hang in Vegas, and then back in time for the Iron Maiden/Dream Theatre show. Should be a good time!

Tremors Guitar Clock Complete!

Clock designed at built for the Tremors band.

The guitar was built from two different guitars, the first being a stock blue Squier strat, identical to this one:

I picked a different neck, and after tedious sanding, finishing, and making room for the clock assembly, I am proud to present the final product to the Tremors Band.

After our friends at UPS did this little number on my 90 year old record, I have finally been able to repair it and return it to its buyer. It's interesting, I really loved this piece when I first finished it. But after its unfortunate demise, and subsequent repair, I like it more. Feels like it has a history now, character, I don't know, but I feel just as good about it now as I did when I first finished it, and I can't wait to get it back to its owner.

I'll get some proper pictures of the final product this weekend, but for now, heres the wreckage...

Hacked a 2x2 hole in the body today...will be fitting it with a clock tonight. Pics soon, almost ready for delivery!

Also of note, stopped by Meiningers today to stock up on OneShot. Cashier mentioned that he has seen a rise in the sales of OneShot, pinstriping is a growing art! Very kool!
